A discussion about the past and future of the UN’s climate conference, hosted by Teddy Ogborn, CODEPINK’s War Is Not Green Coordinator. Last year at COP27 in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt, activists protested the government’s human rights abuses and for the first time thrust the question of counting military emissions into conversations throughout the conference. Next year, as COP is presided over by the UAE and one of its wealthiest oil barons, the conversations around military emissions and political prisoners from COP27 must be amplified and uplifted.
